About

We learn new things every day! For example, today I learned that I did not post anything on this page to let YOU the reader know about who I am. So, lets get to know each other together. My name is Abby and I was born and raised on the Jersey Shore. I was raised as an orthodox Jew, however, as time has gone one I have strayed from my flock. I have 3 children that are my own, and 1 child that I have been blessed to have in my life via my partner. I am not married, and I am not sure if I ever will get married, but that is a story for another time.

I always have loved to write. It was only recently that I decided to create this blog (and even more recently my photography blog http://www.imigiz.wordpress.com). It is a wonderful medium to have my feelings show and to be able to share my story and experience with those in my global community. I have had many struggles and I believe that I have done a wonderful job not only making it through, but actually being able to learn from those tough times. I am hoping that my readers can relate, understand, and learn. I am hoping that my words are able to touch those around me, and maybe, just maybe help someone who is going through all that I have been through. I am very open and comfortable speaking about my life. I am not ashamed of my past, although there are times when I wish I did things differently.

Feel free to ask me anything. I may not answer but one should never be afraid to ask. I am great at giving advice, and not so great taking it! I look forward to you all taking this journey with me!

  1. Abby, I am pretty good at giving advise too. In the past I have been pretty ignorant about taking my own advise that could of saved me much turmoil. I am happy we have connected. Thank you for being here.

To say thank you for all the love and support you have shared with me even at times you needed it as well, for being able to understand my pain without having to wait for an explanation, and knowing where I’ve been without it being revealed to the world, I have nominated you for a blogging award my dear friend πŸ™‚ Please follow this link here for the details for the Quintet of Radiance award.

  5. Hi you asked on my blog if I sell my paintings. It wouldn’t allow me to respond on there for some reason I don’t know why. Thank you for your kind words about it. I’m open to selling but haven’t said so because like all artists I suppose, I never think they would be good enough. πŸ™‚

  6. hello,
I’m currently a student in high school researching about the cultural and social norms affecting wife battering. I’ve read your blog and I can’t imagine the hardship you’ve been through. You’re an amazing women, having gone through all that abuse and yet still having the strength to share your story. Thank you for that! I was just wondering if you could possibly help me out with my research assignment and complete a survey relating to cultural and social norms affecting wife battering?

    -Thank you!
